Professor De George joined the University of Miami in January 2019. He was previously a faculty member at the London Business School, where he taught in the MBA program. His research interests include the economic consequences of corporate financial reporting regulation, bank supervision, and disclosure and regulation within the crypto-capital market. He teaches courses including advanced financial analysis and intermediate accounting.
Dr. De George’s research has been published in leading academic journals, including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, and the Journal of Financial Economics, as well as being featured in the financial press and practitioner journals. Prior to joining academia, he worked as an auditor in KPMG’s Middle Market Advisory Division in Melbourne, Australia before earning his PhD in accounting at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
