Dr. Robert Gregory’s research focuses on novel phenomena related to digital innovation and the transformation of incumbent firms in the context of digital business strategy. His research has appeared in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Academy of Management Review, and MIT Sloan Management Review, among many others.
He has won multiple awards, including Best Reviewer Award from Information Systems Research in 2017 and MIS Quarterly in 2021, as well as the prestigious Early Career Award from the Association for Information Systems in 2016. He serves as an associate editor for Information Systems Research and senior editor for the Journal of the Association for Information Systems. He is also a founding member and outgoing president of the AIS Special Interest Group on Digital Innovation, Transformation, and Entrepreneurship.
Dr. Gregory joined Miami Herbert Business School in June 2021. Previously, he was a professor of product and project management, as well as digital transformation in the executive education program at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. Prior to this, he was an assistant professor of information systems at IESE Business School, Spain, where he taught digital innovation and transformation across the MBA and international executive levels.
